The Rock Creek Valley PTA is sponsoring a Read-a-Thon to raise funds for in-school assemblies, writing workshops, and a wide variety of other events, including many that encourage student participation in the arts, sciences, and the surrounding community!
We are counting on support from all parents, staff, and students to make it a success as we bring our community together to have fun and promote a lifelong love of learning.
During the Read-a-Thon (March 8th – March 22nd), students will be encouraged to raise money while they read, read, read! They can track their number of minutes read on the attached form, or can log them electronically from their fundraising webpage (it’s fun to watch the minutes add up!!)
Our TOTAL SCHOOL GOAL is $8,500
We're challenging each student to read 20 minutes each night and raise $25 (or more!) in donations (think of it as 3 friends donating $10 each, or 5 friends donating $5 each!)
Every $5 raised = 1 chance to win Grand Prize raffles held in-school daily from March 13th to 22nd, so get those donations in early and keep them growing!!

We welcome cash and check donations, and have teamed up with Get Movin’© to make this event fun and profitable with online mobile friendly technology. Online transaction fees can be covered by the donor or will be covered by the PTA. Online donations through your child’s webpage are quicker, safer, and easier.
